With Higgins/A new Earth conversation (NEC) Environmental Humanities Fellows:

Odile Ferly (Language, Literature, and Culture)
Stephen Levin (English)
Max Ritts (Geography)

We invite all Clark University faculty members to join an engaging conversation on teaching and research related to environmental change and the climate crisis. This discussion will delve into innovative pedagogical approaches within this critical field. Together, we will build on the model – and questions – framed by A new Earth conversation: “How do we educate in a time of increasing uncertainty, instability, and injustice?” Or more simply, “What are the important questions our courses should be asking now?”

By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, we aim to consider how the arts and humanities can contribute to and enrich Clark’s new School of Climate, Environment, and Society (CES), and to develop a robust educational framework that empowers our students and advances our collective understanding of the climate crisis. Your participation is crucial in shaping the future of environmental humanities education and research at Clark. We look forward to your valuable contributions and insights during this important discussion.

Participation is open to all Clark University faculty. Lunch will be offered.

Registration details to be announced soon.

Sponsored by the Alice Coonley Higgins Institute for Arts and Humanities and A new Earth conversation at Clark University
